1. Cookies and similar storage
Cookies are small values stored by your browser and sent with requests. Local storage, session storage and authentication-provider browser storage can also keep information on your device. Clipto uses these technologies for sign-in, security and interface preferences.
2. Authentication and security
Clipto’s NextAuth sign-in flow uses session, request-security and callback cookies. Names and duration can differ between secure production domains and local development. Google/Firebase sign-in may also use browser storage to maintain authentication state. These technologies are used when you sign in or link an identity; disabling them can prevent those features from working.
3. Preferences and session data
The dashboard stores choices such as your theme, onboarding completion, workspace preferences and assistant visibility locally. Session storage can hold temporary preview or form state for the current browser session. Persistent preferences generally remain until replaced or cleared in the browser; session storage usually ends with the tab or session.
These preferences are not an advertising profile. Clearing site data resets them and can sign you out. Avoid using shared devices for sensitive drafts unless you clear their data afterward.
4. External players, sign-in and checkout
Clipto’s source-preview player asks you to allow the particular external video before loading it. You can stop that preview to remove the player, and you can prepare a clip without allowing it. This choice does not authorize unrelated advertising or other providers. Playing an embedded YouTube or other source video, using Google sign-in, or opening a hosted Bachs/Paystack checkout can cause the provider to use cookies or similar technologies. The provider controls those technologies under its own policies. The behaviour of an external player is distinct from the cookies used by Clipto itself.
5. Your choices
You can view, block or delete cookies and site storage through your browser’s privacy settings. Manage www.clipto.online and app.clipto.online separately where your browser lists them separately. You can revoke Google permissions in your Google account and microphone permissions in your browser.
Clipto does not currently include an advertising-pixel or third-party marketing-analytics integration in its application code. If optional tracking is added, this notice and any required consent controls must be updated before it is enabled. We do not present a cookie banner that suggests it controls external providers when it does not.
